DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT FOR STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
This

The
Position
Reports
to the Assistant Dean for External Relations, in parallel with Director of Development,
(individual major gifts.)
Provide leadership
for development related activities for major strategic research initiatives of the
Coordinate
strategy for corporate relationships with the

closely with the Assistant Dean for External Relations in designing and executing the

a senior member of the External Relations team, establish a major gifts culture to support
the strategic vision of the
Qualifications
·
A
Bachelors degree. This is required.
·
Five
to eight years of major gifts fund raising or comparable customer relationship management
position.
·
A
strong working knowledge of development and demonstrated success as a major gifts fund
raiser or comparable customer relationship management.
·
Experience
in securing corporate, foundation and individual support.
This is desirable.
·
Strong
interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
·
An
ability to work with senior executives, volunteers, senior administration and faculty.
·
A
commitment to the values and role of a public research university.
·
Experience
in working with highly technical information. This
is desirable.
