TITLE:         Director of Members Communications

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for communications materials for the pension and welfare plans administered by the Pension Boards.

FUNCTIONS:

• Preparation and production including scheduling, budgeting, drafting, layout and vendor interface of Annual report (corporate style),
• Quarterly member newsletter,
• Brochures and posters for annual appeal,
• Booklets, videos and web page describing pension and welfare plans,
• Special announcements to members,
• Administrative instructional material for employers, and
• Preparing and administering departmental budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Batchelors Degree or commensurate experience.
• Significant understanding of empmloyee benefits and experience in employee benefit communications.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, Adobe Pagemaker and/or Harvard Graphics.
• Familiarity with or abiltiy to learn the policy of the United Church of Christ.
• Ability to work in concert with other Pension Boards and UCC professionals.
• Managerial experience including responsibilty for staff and department budgets.
