TITLE:         Corporate Social Responsibility Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers a program to enable the Pension Boards and collaborating instrumentalities to meet their social responsibilities and address related concerns.

FUNCTIONS:

• Analyzing and recommending action on corporate social responsibility resolutions proposed for corporate vote.
• Implementing the voting of proxies for corporate ;meetings.
• Developing and expanding programs to recognize special corporate citizenship.
• Preparing communications materials regarding departmental activities.
• Providing information on issues regarding corporate social responsibility.
• Representing the Pension Boards within external professional organizations.
• Preparing and administering departmental budget.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree or commensurate experience.
• Significant understanding of the ownership structures, types of financial operations and decision-making processes of corporations
• Ability to analyze emerging issues.
• Familiarity with or ability to learn the structure and policy of the United Church of Christ.
• Ability to work in concert with all Pension Boards departments and with the other ministries within the United Church of Christ.
• Ability to travel 10% of the year.
• Managerial experience including direct responsibility for staff and department budget
• Ability to work with or learn office spreadsheet and word-processing software.
• Comparable experience a significant advantage.

REPORTING:    This position reports to the Administrative Vice President
